modern followers of Mithras are often greatly separated by distance, the
Internet is a useful tool for building a Community. The following
resources are available for those wishing to find our more about
Mithraism, share information, meet others, etc. THE MITHRAEUM LIST - A specifically religious list for those interested in the worship of Mithras as a spiritual path. Topics include personal rites and worship, group organization, and the promotion of Mithraism as a modern religion. A moderated list. THE MITHRAS LIST- The original public discussion forum for Mithraic subjects. While not specifically a religious list, this forum has been the place for many wonderful discussions. Topics remain fascinating, and the archives are a gem. Be prepared to meet scholars and other interested folks who are *not* religious Mithraists. A moderated and generally civil list.
The Julian Society Forum - The discussion group for the Julian Society, dedicated to continuing the works of the Emperor Julian, who was an initiate of the Mithraic Mysteries. Byzantium Novum Classical Religion - The Classical Religion forum for Byzantium Novum, dedicated to the continuation of ancient religion in later eras. Temple of Iarhibol Forum - The discussion group for the Temple of Iarhibol. Iarhibol was the Sun God of Palmyra and Dura Europos, and was honored by the Roman Legion who also constructed the Dura Europos Mithraeum.
